A 25-year-old Bronx man has been arrested by State Police on the Thruway in Coxsackie after a traffic stop where he gave troopers a driver’s license that didn’t belong to him. He fled the scene and was observed throwing objects out of the window.

Danny Torres was stopped on the exit 21B off ramp and arrested and when troopers returned to the area where he was seen throwing things from the car, a plastic bag with 209 glassine envelopes of heroin was found.

He was charged with felony criminal possession of drugs and possession with intent to sell as well as criminal impersonation, unlawful fleeing a police officer and aggravated unlicensed operation.

Torres was remanded to the Greene County Jail without bail.
