Bronx Duo Speeding At 105 Mph With Large Amount Of Cocaine

Two men from Bronx were found with 118.5 grams of cocaine after state police pulled them over on the Thruway for going 105 mph, police said.

Around 11:00 p.m. Friday in the Cayuga County town of Brutus, NY, troopers said they clocked the vehicle driving at 105 mph westbound on the New York State Thruway, where the speed limit is 65 mph.

When troopers pulled over the vehicle, they observed the passenger, 26-year-old Jason A. Rivera, throwing a marijuana cigarette out the window, police said.

They then discovered that the driver, Raul Villar Jr., 22, had a suspended license.

A search of the car revealed the two men had 118.5 grams of cocaine in the vehicle.

Troopers charged both with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. Villar was also charged with the misdemeanor third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Rivera was charged with the violation unlawful possession of marijuana.

Both men are being held at the Cayuga County Jail without bail.
