On Thursday, May 9, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale co-hosted the borough’s annual celebration of Israeli Independence Day.

“Each year I am thrilled to join the Hebrew Institute of Riverdale and the entire Bronx community to celebrate the culture, heritage and people of Israel. As we mark the occasion of the 71^st anniversary of the nation’s independence, I want to thank the families who came to this event to show their support for our friends in Israel,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
